Gear Not Optimizing Correctly

It's recommending that the top dps it can get me is 145k, really pushing some suboptimal pieces that are triple stats with meh rolls and hp bonus or defense.

then after I log in and put on my gear from kassandra which was a considerably better starting point and resync, it started to give me better gear sets with higher dps
As you can see, I had selected "take gear from other heroes" and "take from stronger heroes too" so it should be trying to get the best set that I own regardless of who it is on and the builds do recommend taking away from other people
now I tried switching the gear to another random person's and it's giving me a completely different "best 5 sets"
in all scenarios it should be considering every piece of gear on my account and picking the same best 5
now I tried unequipping all gear on my account and the results are much better than anything shown before. This one is probably accurate.
it's weird because checkmarking "take gear from other heroes" and "take from stronger heroes too" both independantly remarkably increase the builds it shows and you can clearly see in the previous screenshots that it has no problem taking gear from other heroes, but the starting point in gear seems to make a difference
I was initially trying it with advanced settings with the same results, but this basic view was better for screenshotting
I’ve already found the reasons and I’m working on a fix.
Thanks a lot for the detailed report and the screenshots — they made this easy to track down, and you were right. The optimizer was letting what the hero (and the other heroes) currently wore shape the search: an item from another hero could pass or be skipped depending on the worn build, and the search started from the worn items. That’s why you got 145k with your gear on and much more with everything unequipped. It’s fixed for the next site update. The search now looks at all your items the same way, whatever anyone wears. On your data Silas gets the same best build in every case we tried (worn, mediocre gear, naked, other heroes geared or not). With “Take gear from other heroes” on, it takes the best items; how much the owner loses is shown on the item, and you can exclude heroes you don’t want touched in the advanced settings. “Stronger heroes” is now judged by power without gear, so being unequipped doesn’t change what’s allowed.
The fix is live now. The search no longer depends on what anyone is wearing, so you should get the same best builds whatever is equipped. With "take gear from other heroes" on it takes the best items, and each item shows how much its current owner would lose. Marking it as done, but if anything still looks off, just post here.
